Solid Type Contact Rivets have a shank that is soft for easy riveting whilist the head becomes work-hardened. The Rivets have the feature that the shank length can be easily varied but the shank diameter should be in right proportion to the size of head for avoiding wrinkles during cold forging operation. The Rivets have the feature that the sufficiently large shank diameter should be selected to avoid undue increase of contact resistance during service.
